McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native Thelma Ruth Masey, age 101, was born January 14, 1923 and died May 24, 2024 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired bookkeeper for Spar Gas and member of First United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late John Cager and Mary Ola Stipe Masey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Melissa Elizabeth Masey; niece, Linda Andrews; nephew, Harold Knowles, Jr. and siblings, Louise Bost, James Masey and Gay Knowles.
Ms. Masey is survived by son, Johnny (Kathy) Masey of Baton Rouge, LA; grandsons, Jared Evan Masey, Brett Joseph Masey and Grant Michael Masey; niece, Patricia Moore; nephews, Kenneth Knowles, David Masey, Stephen Masey and Timothy Masey; several great-nieces and great-nephews and very close friend, Diane Stanley.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Ryan Heatherly and David Masey to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at High’s.
